It’s Aperol Spritz o’clock everyone!! This easy Aperol Spritz recipe is the perfect pre-dinner, light and fruity summer cocktail!! And while it is lovely to drink on those warm, sunny days or evenings, why not get the taste of summer any time of year by having a cheeky Aperol Spritz cocktail anytime!! Made with just aperol, prosecco and soda water, I'm sure you’ll love this refreshing thirst-quenching Italian cocktail!!
Aperol is a vibrant orange Italian liqueur which has a rich, a little bitter and yet also sweet and a little fruity taste. It's delicious!! And let's not forget, with the added fresh orange pieces, full of natural sweetness and an excellent source of vitamin C content and other health benefits!!

Serves: 2

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 100ml Aperol

  • 300ml Prosecco

  • 100ml Soda water

  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

  • 2 slices of a large orange

  • 2 slices of a large orange, gently sliced halfway for garnishing

Instructions:

Place half of the ice cubes into each glass (use either a large wine or gin style glass). Add half of the Aperol to each glass. Divide the prosecco into each glass and then top up with the soda water. Halve or quarter two of the slices of orange and place into the glasses and give your cocktail a quick stir. To finish garnish by placing a slice of orange on the rim of each glass.

Cheers and enjoy!!

Notes:

Instead of using plain ice cubes, you could fill an ice cube tray with prosecco and freeze. As Aperol Spritzes are often drunk on hot summer days or evenings and the ice will melt quite quickly, these cheeky cubes mean no extra water will be added just more of the lovely prosecco!!

You can go really light on the soda water if you prefer and just add a splash which is enough to water down the strong taste of Aperol without diluting your drink.
